| Operational objectives |
1.Veicināt plastiskās rekonstruktīvās rokas un mikroķirurģijas, kā arī rokas terapijas attīstību Latvijā atbilstoši starptautiski noteiktajiem standartiem;
2.Sekmēt daudzveidīgas zināšanas par rokas ķirurģiju un mikroķirurģiju, plaukstas pataloģijām, to izpratni, izpēti, diagnostiku, ārstēšanu, rehabilitāciju, kā arī sekmēt ar plaukstas ķirurģiju un plaukstas pataloģijām saistīto specialitāšu ārstniecības personu, pacientu un sabiedrības informētību; 3.Rūpēties par Biedrības biedru profesionālo izaugsmi plaukstas slimību un veselības jomā; 4.Izstrādāt vadlīnijas dažādu plaukstas slimību profilaksei, diagnostikai, ārstēšanai un aprūpei; 5.Veicināt un koordinēt fundamentālos, epidemioloģiskos un klīniskos pētījumus par dažādām ar plaukstas slimībām saistītām problēmām; 6.Popularizēt sabiedrībā jaunākās zinātnes atziņas par plaukstas fizioloģiju, labdabīgām un ļaundabīgām plaukstas slimībām, to ārstēšanas un aprūpes iespējām; 7.Sniegt atzinumus un rekomendācijas veselības aprūpes pārvaldes institūcijām par visiem jautājumiem, kas skar plaukstas traumas un slimības; 8.Organizēt konferences, seminārus un kursus par plaukstas slimību ārstēšanu un profilaksi; 9.Panākt mikroķirurga sertifikāta ieviešanu Latvijas Republikā, mikroķirurgu sertifikāciju un resertifikāciju. |
